Rocky was adopted.

This is always a bitter-sweet time for us. Rocky has been with us for more than 3 months. We had to bottle feed him and his siblings. Rocky really touched our hearts and we spoiled him. However, he is going to a wonderful home.

We were very fortunate to be a part of the adoption process. Due to his size, the Sacramento SPCA wanted him to stay with us. This meant that after a potential adopter is approved, they have to coordinate with us for "meet and greets". This means, all of the adopter's family need to meet with Rocky. This way they can see if there are any immediate issues and everyone agrees with the adoption.

We met with Rocky's forever family yesterday and they are terrific. A young couple with a very cute little girl, Mitzy. I think, they fell in love with Rocky at first sight. We left them alone with Rocky, so that he would not cling to us. Rocky took to them and that was it. Recently, they lost another Chihuahua, Chiquita. We were told that Mitzy missed her. Personally, I think they all missed her. Am sure that Mitzy and Rocky will become as close as our Missy and Buster.

Today, we all met again, at the SSPCA, where the adoption papers were signed. Rocky is now with his forever family. They made this very easy for us. Thank you for being great people.

We are going to try to take a couple of weeks off from fostering. We need a little time with just Missy and Buster.
